The Direction ‘Research in Environmental Sciences‘ of the M.Sc. in Global Environmental Change, Management & Technology was established in 2019 and aims to train students in environmental sciences through taught courses and applied research (90 ECTS) and lasts for a minimum of three academic semesters (Autumn – Spring – Autumn).

The M.Sc. Study Program is certified by the Hellenic Authority for Higher Education for the 2025-2029 period, as “FULLY COMPLIANT” with the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG). You may read the full report here.

Prospective students are required to personally contact a member of staff of the Department of Environment, University of the Aegean, in order to ascertain his/her willingness to act as their individual research’s supervisor BEFORE applying for this M.Sc. direction
